Children is always a group that easily draw general public's attention, this news mainly talks about a typical psychological disease which has been more and more found among children: bipolar disorder.
CNN news website wisely use the picture on the left side in the very beginning of the whole story, in order to catch eyeballs of readers. This adorable girl named Jennifer, she was just 10 years old when she had been diagnosed as bipolar disorder. Undeniable, this is a fabulous opening to tell a tory, it used Jennifer's experence as a beginning, readers will be easily get interesting about the whole story: what is wrong with this girl, how to treat her to become normal as other children, does any other child suffer the same painful things as her? Therfore, the following article gives its demostration toward series queries.
In respect of the content of the whole article, the author used sufficient statistic data and quotation of experts' opinion to justify different perspectives. There are three parts of this story, in the first part, it states the present situation that more and younger kids are receiving diagnoses of and treatment for the bipolar disorder disease, also, there is an illustration of the symtons and cause. Then in the second part, it turns into seeking a better diagnosis, it gives the readers both the general suggestion and the proposal from the professional mental doctor. Basically, this story applied a typical story format which is also the most effective story writting approach. Through a sequence of WHAT, WHY, HOW to clearly explain the perspective. The readers could easily follow the story as well as get the konwledge which the story is aiming to.

  1. Well begun is half done! I like the case study beginning. It makes it easy for average people to understand a story in a particular area. I will take this format in my own writing.
